Nigerian Instagram celebrity, Ismaila Mustafa aka Mompha, an alleged internet fraudster has been ordered to make appearance before a Federal High Court in Lagos on January 15 to proceed with his trial.

Recall Mompha was arrested on October 19, 2019 at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, by the anti-graft agency for his alleged involvement in Internet-related fraud and money laundering, alongside his firm, Ismalob Global Investments Limited. He and his co-defendant Ismalob Global Investments Ltd, pleaded not guilty to a 14 count-charge bordering on the offence and are out on bail after fulfilling his bail condition.

January 15 has however been chosen for the commencement of the trial of Ismalia Mustafa alongside his co-defendant Ismalob Global Investments Ltd.

Mompha who is always seen on Instagram with his little son flaunting huge amount of foreign currencies and designers outfits  is alleged to have perpetrated his fraudulent activities under the shield of his company.

The anti-graft agency alleged that, “Investigations have also revealed that Mompha is only using the Bureau de Change (BDC) business he jointly owned with his siblings as a decoy to launder his proceeds of crime.”
However, a Federal High Court in Lagos has fixed January 15 for the commencement of the trial.
