Africa’s most populous nation Nigeria held her general elections on Saturday to decide who will be the president for the next four years.
The election which was earlier scheduled for 16th February but was postponed by the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) due to logistics and operational issues, was finally held on 23rd February (Last Saturday).
The citizens of Nigeria came out in their numbers to perform their civic duty. INEC has earlier admonished everybody to engage in a peaceful and organized voting process.
The top celebrities of the Nigerian media and entertainment came out in their numbers to perform their civic duty, thereby setting an example and encouraging their fans and supporters to come and do the same.
Most of the celebrities also went beyond performing their civic duty, as they coordinated activities to ensure a smooth process at their polling units.
