The Publisher of Cross River Watch, Agba Jalingo, has been released from prison, after been in prison for six months after meeting his bail condition.
The publisher of Cross River Watch, Agba Jalingo , was arrested on charges of publishing articles that found faults with the Cross River State Governor, Benjamin Avade. However, Jalingo was given a release term of 10m for his release last week.
Jalingo’s arrests case started from August 2019 on instructions from Governor Benjamin Avade.
Jalingo was finally prosecuted for treason and planning to bring down the state government to publishing highly condemning write ups.
Amnesty International had declared the activist as a prisoner of conscience due to his long time in confinement.
