Kuryas Bala resumes as new CP of Niger state

The new Commissioner of Police, Niger State Command, CP Monday Bala Kuryas has solicited the cooperation of Nigerlites to continue giving useful information to the Police to sustain the fight against crime and criminality in the state

Kuryas who resumed duties on Tuesday succeeded AIG Adamu Usman who was recently promoted and redeployed.

The Command in a press statement signed by the Public Relations Officer, PRO, DSP Wasiu Abiodun said Kuryas is presently the 35th Commissioner of Police in the Niger State Police Command.

Abiodun disclosed that the new CP was a former Commissioner of Police, Anti-Fraud section FCID Annex Lagos (2021) and has wealth of experience largely in handling high profile cases such as Armed Robbery, Banditry and Kidnapping cases.

”CP Kuryas ( fsi) hails from Kurya Daddu in Jaba LGA of Kaduna State and holds Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) degree in Political Science from the prestigious Usman Dan Fodio University, Sokoto in 1986”, Abiodun informed.

”He was enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force as a Cadet ASP in 1990 and since then, he has served in various capacities within the Force which includes but not limited to the followings:-Area Commander Lafia, Nasarawa State (2012 – 2015), Area Commander Nsukka, Enugu State (2015 – 2017), DC Operations, Kogi State Police Command (2017 – 2019), DC Operations, Zone 11 Osogbo Osun State (2019 – 2020), DC Operations, Ondo State Police Command (2020 – 2021), Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Police Command (2021), Commissioner of Police, Anti-Fraud section FCID Annex Lagos (2021)”.

”He has equally attended several professional courses, seminars and workshops; some of which includes Combat Operations Course, Intermediate Command Course, Tactical Leadership and Command Course (TLCC), and Senior Command Course respectively”.
