Sanwo-Olu Commissions 110-Bed Maternal, Child Centre In Epe

LAGOS – As part of his administration’s commitment to the provision of adequate healthcare to residents of Lagos State, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Monday, officially commissioned and launched the 110-Bed Maternal and Child Center in Epe.

At the event, which was done in commemoration of the second anniversary of the present administration, Sanwo-Olu urged all expectant and future mothers within Epe Local Government Area and its environs to make use of the facility and avoid patronising unregistered birth homes, which may result in complications, lead to birth defects or loss of both mother and the unborn child.

The governor said his administration will leave no stone unturned to provide fully equipped modern health facilities all over Lagos State.

He, therefore, urged Epe residents to see the health facility as their property and safeguard it, adding that “It is an essential facility that has been provided to save lives and promote your wellbeing.”

Governor Sanwo-Olu said the commissioning of the fully equipped Maternal Child Centre, Epe, is a clear demonstration of his administration’s seriousness about the war against maternal and child mortality in Lagos State.

Abiodun Tobun, representing Epe 1 Constituency in the Lagos State House of Assembly, commended the governor, who in his magnanimity, has put the project into good use for the residents of Epe.

Tobun assured that members of the Epe community will make good use of the facility.
