Governor Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi State has been elected as the Progressive Governors Forum chairman, replacing the outgoing governor of Imo state, Rochas Okorocha.
The APC governor’s forum revealed this on Friday through their Twitter handle. “We are very glad to announce that Governor Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi State Government is now our Chairman. Ensuing press releases and briefings will be made to this effect,”
Bagudu, whose election was agreed, replaced the Governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha whose tenure will expire on May 29. The governor of Kebbi State says he will provide leadership to PGF to realise the collective vision of the Progressive Governors to build a strong, democratic and inclusive APC. He also pledged to “mobilise all party members and by extension Nigerians towards expanding and deepening democratic structures of the party.”
