The Deputy President of the Senate, Ike Ekweremadu, has revealed that he wouldn’t seek for re-election into the Senate in 2023, noting that God had been good to him, elevating him to handle enormous challenges confronted by his people.
He made this known on Sunday at an occasion to mark his 57th birthday and to understand God and his constituents for his re-election and triumphs.
He noted that God has been so kind to him since he joined politics revolved out his achievements for the people. He also said “However my dear brothers and sisters, you must understand that no matter how melodious a song may be, it will definitely have an end”. “I believe that together we can pioneer a new order characteerised by peace, justice, unity, prosperity, equality, and boundless opportunities for all”.
