The Independent Electoral commission (INEC) continued the collation of the results of the just concluded presidential elections in Nigeria.

The returning officers for Osun, Ekiti, FCT, Kwara, Nasarawa states had earlier presented their results to INEC and the results looked good for incumbent President Buhari.

The APC was leading the PDP having won in Osun, Ekiti, Kwara and Nasarawa.

Immediately INEC returned from their break by 5pm yesterday, the returning officers for Kogi, Gombe, Ondo, Abia, Yobe, Enugu and Ebonyi states presented their results.

Again results looked good for Buhari as APC won in Kogi, Gombe, Yobe, while PDP won in Ondo, Abia, Enugu, Ebonyi states.

One can clearly see that the Northern and Middle Belt regions of Nigeria favoured President Buhari, while the Eastern regions favoured Alhaji Abubakar Atiku.

INEC reconverges by 10am today to collate the results of the remaining 26 states and officially announce the new president of Nigeria.
