Gov. Yahaya Bello voices on ‘dumping’ APC
Gov. Yahaya Bello voices on ‘dumping’ APC. The Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello has responded to reports that he was preparing to dump the All Progressives Congress, APC, ahead of the governorship election in the state. According to reports yesterday, some top shots in the presidency had instructed Bello to dump the APC for another party, ahead of the November election in the state. Bello’s move was said to be due to his alleged misunderstandings with some top officials of the party in the state.
He identified that Bello’s declaration has disturbed his opponents, “many of whom had thought the party would fail and then die after the 2019 general elections in Kogi state. “Immediately after the declaration, diaspora opposition pressed their panic button and ventured into rumor mercantile, spreading all forms of rumor. “First, it was that the governor has not performed in office. We didn’t fight them. We only rolled out 105 verifiable achievements in 39 months of stewardship. Like the rat who saw a cat, they ran away from that sentimental infantilism.
