Hope Uzodinma accused of earmarking N1bn

Rochas Okorocha has described members of  OPOCA seeking his recall, as a group of political undertakers known for absurdities. Sighting Hope Uzodinmas remarks.

Okorocha said this about senator Hope Uzodinma in a press statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media, Sam Onwuemeodo.

The release said the state government led by Senator Hope Uzodinma had already earmarked N1 billion for the group just to rubbish the former Governor.

It reads, “For those who do not know the group, the characters in OPOCA were the same people who carried the mock coffin of Chief Arthur Nzeribe when he was in the senate only to please Chief Achike Udenwa who was the then Governor of the state.

“In 2015, the same group wrote a petition to the Inspector General of Police against Chief Hope Uzodinma over an alleged assault. They did that to please Rochas Okorocha who was the Governor. This is their stock-in-trade.

“We have on good authority that the government has already earmarked N1 billion for the recall process. We advise that the government rather use the money to pay accumulated workers salaries and pension.

“It is our candid position that the government should not drag traditional rulers into messy political outings.

“The elements in OPOCA do not care about the verdicts of posterity or history. They will soon turn against Hope Uzodinma tomorrow when the chips are down.”
