Kano, Kastina skyrockets Buhari’s lead, the All Progressive Congress Party (APC) gets a quantum lead as the results of Kano and Kastina was announced.

The collating officer for Kano state, Prof. M. Garuba presented his results to Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Kano is known as the commerce centre of Nigeria with a huge population.

Kano had a total number of accredited voters of 5,391,581, accredited voters of 2,006,410 and total votes cast of 1,964,751.

The All Progressive Congress Party was skyrocketed as she won a massive 1,464,768 votes out of the total valid votes of 1,891,134.

The opposition party dragged behind with 391,593 votes.

  • APC wins Kastina State with 1,232,133 votes

President Buhari’s home state  Kastina didn’t hesitate to show their unequivocal support.

The collating officer for Kastina state, Prof. Fatima presented her results to INEC as follows.

Kastina state had a total number of registered voters of 3,210,422, accredited voters of 1,628,865 and total votes cast of 1,619,185.

APC took a whopping 1,232,133 votes from the total valid votes of 1,55,473.

While PDP tagged along with 308,056 votes.

  • PDP wins Taraba State with 374,743 votes

The collating officer for Taraba state, Prof. Shehu Adamu presented his results to INEC.

Taraba state had a total number of registered voters of 1,777,105, accredited voters of 756,111 and total votes cast of 712,877.

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) won 374,743 votes while their nemesis All Progressive Congress Party (APC) got 324,906 votes.
