The Young Democratic Party (YDP) and the African Action Congress (AAC) have elected their governorship candidates for the October 10 governorship election in Ondo State.
Mr. Dotun Ojon emerged candidate of the YDP while Samuel Tope Omotoso won the AAC primary.
Ojon was the only candidate for YDP and he polled 96 out the 99 votes cast at the primary.
In brief speech, Ojon promised to lead the YDP to victory at the polls.
Ojon said he would put the people at the centre of his administration.
“If the people give us their votes and the opportunity to lead them, we will have a government for everyone irrespective of political parties,” he said.
At the AAC, Omotoso got 77 votes to defeat his opponent, Mr. Usman Oladimeji who scored nine votes.
Omotoso said he is committed to lifting the masses to a higher level.
