Ashley Young signs United contract extension. Ashley Young has signed a one-year contract extension at Manchester United. Young’s new deal takes him up to June 2020, extending his stay at the club to nine years after moving from Aston Villa in 2011 for £17m.  Caretaker manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has started Young in all but two of his games in charge, regularly selecting him as captain in the absence of Antonio Valencia.
