Flying Eagles set on a move to Germany on Saturday for training tour
Flying Eagles set on a move to Germany on Saturday for training tour. All things being equal the Flying Eagles technical crew will publicize the names of the players that will travel to Germany for the training tour for final arrangements for the FIFA U20 World Cup slated for Poland between May 23 and June 15. There is deep fear in the camp of the Under 20 national team in Abuja as the coaches are comparing notes to carve down the number of players that will be air-borne and be joined by not less than 10 foreign based players who have been invited to prove their worth during the residential camping in Germany.
A source close to the team told SportingLife.ng that the team will leave for Germany on Saturday and that team head coach Paul Aigbogun is doing his best along with his other assistant coaches to ensure that the best are picked for the country ahead of the World Cup.
The Flying Eagles hardly managed to pick the World Cup ticket at the AFCON in Niamey, Niger Republic where they placed fourth because of their failure to score goals and Nigerians have called on the technical crew to complain up the squad with quality players to ensure that Nigeria scale through the hurdles of the first round.
The Under 20 team are in Group D along with Qatar, Ukraine and United States and they will face Qatar first on May 24 before the games with United States and Ukraine on May 27 and 30 in that order.
