Gambo Ends Scoring Drought. Kano Pillars’ veteran striker Gambo Muhammad has expressed delight over his first goal of the season. The marksman was on the score sheet during Pillas’ 2-0 win against Abia Warriors on Wednesday in an NPFL Matchday 10 game in Kano.

Speaking to the league’s official website, Gambo stated that he is happy to have made a good statement of himself after being shut out of the first-team owing to injuries and the impressive form of other strikers. “First of all I want to thank our technical crew for finding me worthy to be part of the starting line-up,” Gambo said. “This is my third full appearance since the inception of the current league season. Thank God I made a mark by scoring a very vital goal and most importantly we won the game.
