Guardian Newspaper: Government stops salaries of ASUU, others over IPPIS

The federal government has carried out its threat of stopping the salaries of the civil servants especially the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) on the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System (IPPIS). The minister of finance Zainab Ahmed, has said its a pity that ASUU has decided not to enroll on IPPIS  and the defiance shows that ASUU wants to be treated differently from other workers.

Sun Newspaper: Fears over bandits’ spread

The Federal government has raised alarm of unrepentant bandits that are moving from Kaduna and Zamfara to neighboring states and beyond to wreck havoc. They said the bandits are making an effort to spread the menace to other states.
